We are committed to the creation of a sustainable future. Together we collaborate and innovate to enhance the lives of our customers, inspire corporate and community culture, care for the environment, and drive long-term, regional prosperity. Sustainability is a journey. At Agostini, the journey has begun…
At Agostini Limited, sustainability is a journey we approach with determination and purpose. Guided by our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, we collaborate and innovate to improve lives, protect the environment, and contribute to regional prosperity. Through initiatives focused on people, the planet, and partnerships, we are creating a positive, lasting legacy for future generations.
We have identified the key sustainability issues that span our entire organization, focusing our efforts on:
Through these focus areas, we ensure that our operational decisions support both the environment and the long-term prosperity of our business and stakeholders.
Our sustainability journey is anchored in the Agostini Goals of Sustainability (AGOS),
which guide all our initiatives across the organization:
People
Ensure a collaborative, safe, and healthy environment for employees and stakeholders.
Planet
Reduce our environmental footprint and foster a circular economy through resource efficiency and waste management.
Enrich communities by working together to support development, enhance well-being, and foster transformative relationships.
These pillars guide our efforts to balance environmental, social, and economic value while driving sustainable progress.

In 2022, comprehensive lighting surveys were conducted across all group companies in Trinidad and Tobago to support our energy transition. We anticipate completing the shift to energy-efficient, low-maintenance LED lighting solutions by the end of the year. This initiative is not only reducing our energy consumption but also enhancing operational efficiency and stakeholder well-being.
Plastic Recycling and Upcycling
In collaboration with Flying Tree Environmental Management, we have diverted over 48 metric tons of plastic from landfills, equivalent to more than 20 shipping containers. The collected plastics have been upcycled into composite materials, benches, and platforms for community spaces, creating tangible environmental and social benefits.
Paper Recycling
Through our partnership with New Age Recycling, we have segregated over 120 metric tons of paper from landfills, helping to save:

This recycled paper is transformed into tissue and other products, showcasing how efficient waste management can protect natural resources.
Wooden Pallet Repair and Repurposing
Our pallet repair stations at Vemco and Hand Arnold have repaired and redeployed 43,000 pallets while repurposing 270 metric tons of pallet fragments into animal bedding and mulch for agricultural use. This initiative reduces landfill waste while supporting local farms and horticulture.
